Thesis will explain the meaning behind the term practice and also different aspects of practice will be discussed as the types of practise. There are a lot of articles and books concerning this topic, and some ideas discussed by various authors will be presented and explained within this thesis. At the end of this thesis the author will give her own view on practice and discuss her own practice methods followed by a learning process behind it. A lot of aspects that will be presented and explained here will hopefully help the practitioner to gain a better knowledge behind the whole process of practising a musical instrument. The reader will also find detailed information on how physical and mental preparations as well as the concentration and scheduling the right time and place for practice will lead a performer to a better musical achievement. The compiled information you will find in this thesis should serve any ambitious musician on the path to enhance their musical performance. Hopefully it will also enlighten tutors and even professors who wish to have a better understanding of what their students are or should be doing behind the doors to their practising rooms. ABSTRACT: Diese Studie untersucht den Begriff des Übens. Die Arbeit sollte die Bedeutung des Begriffes Üben näher erklären. Verschiedene Aspekte des Übens sowie auch die Übungsmethoden werden in der Arbeit diskutiert. Es gibt viele Artikel und Bücher zu diesem Thema und einige Ideen von bestimmten Autoren werden in dieser Arbeit präsentiert. Am Ende der Arbeit wird der Autor einen eigenen Blick auf das Üben geben und eigene Methoden sowie der Lernprozess dahinter erklären. Viele Aspekte, die hier präsentiert und erklärt werden, werden hoffentlich dem Musiker helfen, ein besseres Wissen hinter dem ganzen Prozess des Übens eines Instruments zu erlangen. Körperliche und seelische Vorbereitungen sowie die Konzentration und Planung der Zeit und des Ortes für das Üben werden den Performer zu einer besseren musikalischen Leistung führen. Die in dieser Arbeit zusammengestellten Informationen sollen jedem Musiker von großem Nutzung sein und man sollte seine musikalische Leistung verbessern.
