Eine Soziale Phobie stellt für Individuen eine psychische Beeinträchtigung dar, die unterschiedliche Auswirkungen auf das Handeln und Tun in bestimmten (Leistungs)situationen hervorwirken können. In dieser Arbeit wird unter anderem durchleuchtet, nach welchen Kriterien und Symptomen soziale Phobien bemessen werden. Darüber hinaus liegt der Fokus auf ausgewählte Ursachen, Diagnoseformen und Therapiemöglichkeiten. Zwei ausgewählte Performancesituationen im Hochleistungsbereich stellen einen Bezug zur Praxis her und veranschaulichen das zuvor theoretisch vorgestellte Wissen. Abgerundet wird die Arbeit durch einen individuellen Teil, welcher die Erfahrungen und Sichtweisen des Autors widerspiegelt.</lom:langstring>
