ABSTRACT: Music has often been synonymous with power; countless examples of regimes have made music an instrument of control and exaltation of the values they wanted to impose. Therefore, the purpose of this CD production is to investigate the influence of Franco’s regime on Spanish musical production, more specifically in the flute repertoire, taking as a reference four pieces written in two clearly different styles and composed in the same time frame, the decade of 1970. Regarding the methodology, a mixture of analysis (formal, harmonic and instrumental) as well as historical and contextual research will be done in addition to the professional recording of the repertoire.
